So far, and i understand it is early, the classic divison sort of looks like it is just going to be a 3YO race. Lava man prolly wont show considering his lack of success away from CA, Invasor is retired, last years 3YO classic contenders are awaiting their first crop progeny, Discreet Cat is still recovering from his illness, Premium Tap is in Dubai, etc, etc.

This is the scariest time of the year for horse fans. Horses are coming back to the track for the summer season and getting hurt and retiring. Year after year we lose good horses around this time. Who is left thats a live competitor in the classic division thats not a 3YO?

Corinthian? Sun King? Political Force? There arent alot of stand outs... What are your predicted fields for BC Classic? and who are your front-runners?

Way too early to even consider it.

His last race was a clunker but before that Master Commander looked very impressive.

It really is wide open at this point. The three year olds look pretty solid compared to the older horses, but it's still early. Lava Mans people will probably try it again. He might actually be looking at his best chance yet, but it would be a tall order considering how he has run outside the state of Cali. Flashy Bull is another who has to be up there at this point after his Foster win and Master Command. Interesting group. Lets see what happens as the summer plays out.

Agree. Magna Graduate also comes to mind.
