I ran across references on the web today to a handicapping book titled, A Statistical Approach to Betting the Horse Races written by James Ross, with Catherine Kwiatkowski and Thomas Kehl listed as editors, published in 2004 by Lightning Source, Inc. Do any board members have this title, and, if so, any opinions on it?

Never mind. I found a previous thread. (Should have searched first.)

I couldn't find the previous thread, if you're still looking for opinions on this book, it's the worst handicapping/betting book I've ever seen. All it is, is page after page of useless statistics about the pool efficiencies of different tracks. Even if there was a shred of useful information from 4 years ago, I don't see where it could be of any use today.

Here was that thread (for what it's worth):

I buy lots of these books and systems, hoping to learn something. Thanks to Dave Schwarz, who reviewed it in the other thread, I can save my money here.
