Also, account wagering is down, which Churchill Downs Inc. President and CEO Bob Evans said should be expected since Churchill races are no longer available through online wagering operations TVG and Youbet. But "revenue's actually gone up on wagers placed through the (advance-deposit wagering) platforms."

But "revenue's actually gone up on wagers placed through the (advance-deposit wagering) platforms." ... because the takeout is higher. If they get rid of all bettors and raise the takeout to 100% they'll really be kicking ass! :lol:

Churchills cut of the EXISTING takeout is bigger (7-8%) with Tracknet than prior (3-3.5%)

The article also said TVG paid additional fees to offset the fact that people were betting online rather than at the track. Any ideas what those extra fees amount to?

There is no way that bigger cut made up for the loss in handle.

It appears that the stockholders aren't concerned about the loss in handle:

That's a great observation. I wonder if there is enough data to be mined here to make that determination?
