When congress passed a broad pension reform last year , making companies get their retirement programs in order, seemed like a good idea.
here's the Senate addition to the Iraq war supplement last week.
the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. is obliged to bail out any company that cant meet its pension obligations, giving Airlines, little reason to practice any restraints.
The PBGC estimates the fixeroo will result in an addditional $2 Billion in underfunded pensions, over the next 10 years.
No Senator takes credit for this EARMARK (remember them?)
