One of my sincere wishes in sports is salaries were never published. To me I have no more right to know what any member of this board makes than I do any player. These are not elected officials.

I NEVER heard kids discussing a player’s salary at the ballpark growing up and I heard exactly that last year at a D-ray game. These kids could not have been 8yo and there talking contracts etc…

I’m not saying you are Phil, but I would never condemn a man for seeking a better wage. As in any business the poor investments on this list are all ownership driven and the one sided bargaining agreement they signed.

PS: Having said that if your want to look up poor investments in baseball you will see Chuck Lamar’s picture next to the definition. ;)

hey phils, do you have any pics of the guys who "stole the money" holding the gun to the morons that gave them a contract to sign?

You really don't get the purpose of most threads. Best to just stay out of them if you don't understand them..

Of course it's a given that the owners were responsible for these horrendous deals.. duh

You said "stole money" - I countered that as did DanG

'nuff said...

So brain surgeon...if you didn't mean "stole money" > then you must have meant something else then? If so, state it a bit more clearly so that I can ignore it as fluff...

Sorry, I should have alluded to the fact that this thread was for adults. My bad.
