From CHRB weekly update:
In accordance with a stipulated agreement between the CHRB and Jamey Thomas, the
stewards at Golden Gate Fields suspended the trainer 15 days (May 21-June 4), fined him $7,500,
and placed him on probation for one year for violation of CHRB Rules 1843.1 (d), 1843.6 (d) (1)
(2), and 1887 after two horses in his care, Vilamoura and At A Boy Luther, exceeded the regulatory
threshold of 37.0mml/l for total carbon dioxide (TCO2). These are Class 3 violations. In accordance
with the stipulated agreement, the ****fine was stayed, provided he has no further Class 1, 2, or 3
medication violations during the term of probation.
I'm thinking maybe this is a joke or a misprint. And I'm thinking maybe Thomas, having a small stable, loses not very many purses.
