Hi folks, I found your board by accident trying to find out if there is something out there for greyhound gamblers. Can someone pass along a site for me ?

Thank you very much. :):):):)

That's a tough one around here. Rarely is Harness or quarter horse racing even mentioned let alone the dogs. But hang in there, maybe someone may come up with something. Maybe check with a member named K9Pup - I think he is a dog player.

I play the dogs, so I can help a little. Can't help much, because there aren't many greyhound discussion places left, and the most active one is invitation-only.

Public Forums:
HAWG http://forums.delphiforums.com/hawg
That's the only open message board left that gets much discussion about the dogs. Mostly the owner giving his opinions. The owner was talking about a pay area of the site. I don't know if he put that in or not.

There's also the QuickDog forum: Quickdog: http://forums.delphiforums.com/quickdog

Deals with the main software for greyhounds. Not much talk there about the dogs themselves, but if you want the best software (imo), that's the place to go.

RANT SITE: http://forums.delphiforums.com/wofsblog

It started as a site to rant about a guy who sells a system for $2,500 to $25,000. It turned into a food fight site. It's been inactive for a while.

The "SAR" site: forums.delphiforums.com/homberger/
This guy runs 6 or 7 sites on Delphi. Many are pay-per-view.

Chatroom:

BigJackPotBetting: http://bigjackpotbetting.com/
Site with a chatroom and a live podcast by Randy Birch (former announcer at Woodlands). It's active Thursday through Monday. They have a few free-to-enter contests too with cash prizes.

Non Interactive:

Racing Greyhounds: http://www.greyhounds.com/
Gordon Waite's site. Probably one of the better ones out there.

Greyhounds are on the way out in many places. Iowa is trying to get rid of them by the end of the year, and Florida is working on a decoupling bill that will let the casinos get rid of greyhound racing. Florida will probably lose 5-8 of its tracks if that goes through.

EDIT:

Will someone please please explain the results of these races-The payoff prices are incredible.

Mardis Gras has a minimum $5 bet on WPS, and it bases its WPS mutuels on that $5 bet. Divide those mutuels by 2.5 to get the $2 payouts.

A new money stream for Thorograph? How this for an angle: the move from Kibbles N Bits to Iams. I'm sure there's some barn using this maneuver at a 40% strike rate.

americangreyhounds.com

that's the main site, a lot of owners, breeders, trainers and a couple weekly contests for gamblers

However it's a pay site. $10 a year. It's to keep the animal rights activists from signing up and stirring up trouble.
