Noticed that many of the outriders at Woodbine are wearing breathing masks. Is it that bad there?

They are just not sure about the health risks on the new surface so the are urged to wear masks. If I ever become an exercise rider or jock I'm going to wear one of those extremely lightweight white medical masks.

Sorry, not buying. I've galloped and worked horses over this type of surface (plus had other horses gallop/work along side).

Emma Wilson was one of the first riders at WO to wear a mask -- there was a race last year where she was maskless and won wire to wire at a good price, a nice tell.
