Opening DRF. file

I tried to open 2 different drf. sample pp files from Trackmaster to check an
old program I found while going through my book's ( using it as a bookmarker )

The first file said windows can't find a way to open it.....

The second file put's it on a DOS BLACKBOARD...and ask's if you want to overwrite...either way ( Y or N ) makes everything disapear !

Two questions:
1. Why the discrepency for each file ?

2. How can I open ...either or both ?

The "windows can't open" file was for HOL. Park
The DOS file was for Los Alamitos

What are the names of the files - exactly.
And are you trying to open them with your prgram, or just open them?

I'm trying to open them without the program ( it was in a book
which I left at my friend's place in Vegas last week...He's sending it back to me this weekend)

files came as : hol0630.exe
lax0630.exe

apx0820.eg (which changed to apx0820.i
when I tried to open it)

I have changed the file ext. on hol. & lax. to hol0630.DRF
lax0630.DRF

Also.....the program took the Bris files originally and I think DRF,
but I will try the cheap TSN file...what do you suggest ?

Those are executable files - .exe
To open them, just double click on them and they will expand into mutliple files. Carefull - if you have them in the same folder, the files will overwrite if you open the seond one.

Thanks Tom, I think I opened the apx twice and it changed from
.eg to .i , like you said

Hopefully I'll be getting that program next week from L.V., and can try to
change the BRIS or TSN file and make it work......if not,.....

You wouldn't believe howe many times I would download a bunch of files, open them all up, then not be able to find any of them becaseu they erase each other! D'OH!
