It appeared that while he lacked room a bit in the stretch, he (or Cornelio) was reluctant to split horses. He was going well, late, however. He certainly took all the late money, too.

I needed this horse for a decent score and originally I was pissed that Cornelio got him into so much trouble but after watching the replay, he was more a victim of circumstance than anything else. 9 times out of 10 staying inside is the right move. This was #10 as he was blindswitched and never had a clear path. Unfortunate but not his fault. I think only Raul Rojas would have gotten this one home.
Right horse, wrong result. We'll get em next time.
