Here is a website called "The Hype Machine" that searches all the music blogs and posts links to any songs contained therein. You cannot download, but you can click "listen" to play the track, and a link is provided to Amazon or itunes should you wish to make a purchase.

Lots of indie artists are to be found here (note to SHAC) and covers of some old stuff. You can do a search for songs or artists of your choice.

A couple of reccommended searches: (

dunproofin'---Casbah Wonder

The Who Boys---Return Of The Dub Auctioneer

hypem.com/ (http://hypem.com/)

PS: If you don't like what's playing (most likely), just click to the next song on the player...

Do a search and you can find almost anything--six pages of Stones.

Well PC you did it. You've posted a link to a site I was ill aware. Here I thought I knew of every notable music site known to man. Within 1 minute I found an arcane recording of The Serenade for Piano in A Maj by the indomitable Igor Stravinsky.

Center channel extraction is the technique used to slice out vocals from songs. If you have access to Adobe's Audition it does a nice job of that as highlighted in the examples you cited.

Muito Obrigado - AKA. Thanks!
