How is it fixed if you were in on it?
I am sure you wheeled it, got the doubles covered, etc,.etc.

Writing a race for a stable is older than the Derby. It ain't fixing.

I'll always remember the race that convinced me both that it paid to check race conditions, and that races could be logically handicapped. I was just getting into the game thirty years ago, and had read one of Bob McKnight's books, in which he emphasized comparing the horses with the conditions of the race. Right after that, I found a race at Arlington that was written for non-winners since a certain date, and one filly in the field (Minnie Riperton, after the late singer) was the only one with a last win that was exactly on the cutoff date. Perhaps a coincidence, but she won at double-digit odds. (Funny how events like that stay with you.)

I don't see how it was written for him.
It was a standard condition, and the horse got no special weight breaks. He was tied for highweight at 120 and he fit the conditions perfectly.
What part of the conditions were "fixed" for this horse????
