Dear Youbet Members,

It is with deep regret that I must inform you that, for the first time in five years, Youbet.com will not be offering wagering on the Kentucky Derby. As a valued member of Youbet.com, you are entitled to an explanation.

The rights to wagering on the Kentucky Derby are controlled by TrackNet Media Group, which is the joint venture formed by Churchill Downs Inc. and Magna Entertainment Corporation. As a condition for accepting wagers on the Kentucky Derby, TrackNet demanded that Youbet.com stop carrying races from a number of racetracks. These tracks include, among others, Aqueduct, Belmont Park, Calder Race Course, Del Mar, Hollywood Park, Monmouth Park, The Meadowlands, Oak Tree at Santa Anita, and Saratoga.

We didn't think this demand was fair to you, our track partners and their horsemen. Furthermore, we didn't want to drop a summer and fall's worth of great racing just so we could carry the Derby. Click here (http://www.hbpa.org/NewsDisplay.asp?STORYID=9048) to view the opinion of national horsemen’s representatives.

If you want to join us in expressing dismay with the circumstances that are preventing you from wagering on the 133rd running of the Kentucky Derby with your favorite online wagering service, you may contract TrackNet Media directly:

Scott Daruty, Chief Executive Officer
TrackNet Media Group LLC
626 - 574-6322 (office)

Last minute developments could make it possible for you to wager on Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby on Youbet.com. If that occurs, we will keep you informed via email and through updates to our website at www.Youbet.com (http://www.youbet.com/).

Additionally, starting Friday, we will be offering contests throughout the weekend, including our Oaks-Derby Million contest awarding a $1,000,000 prize. Note that entry into the Oaks-Derby Million contest must be made before 2:15PM PDT on Friday. For more information, visit www.KingContest.com (http://www.kingcontest.com/).

In the coming weeks, we invite you to wager on the Preakness (May 19) and Belmont Stakes (June 9), as well as the best racing the summer has to offer from Del Mar, Monmouth Park and Saratoga - all with Youbet.com.

On behalf of everyone at Youbet.com, I want to personally thank you for your understanding and support, but most of all, your patience, as the racing industry moves toward the goal of allowing account wagering providers equal access to all racetrack signals.

Yours truly,

Charles F. Champion

I guess it was fair to track partners and horsemen when Youbet refused to take Fairgrounds , Meadowlands, and others.
