I love the analysis that Roman has on chef-de-race.com but when going back from 98 to now, I don't get how he is selecting the horses each year. If you are the best in ANY category he bets a theoretical WPS on you? Take Artax and Victory Gallop for example in 1998. They were in only one category but are marked green and if that's how they were ranked up in the 5 categories there (where Halory Hunter is on top on almost all but Indian Charlie is 10f), how are they included? I think it would make more sense if he said, "Starters withIN the top 5 values pass the initial screen."

So, if you are anywhere in the top 5 of the 5 categories AND you ran a prep at -55 or better, then you make it for a qualification? I just want to understand it. I haven't finished reading and may figure this out, but any comments would be appreciated. Good luck, I have my picks almost done, they are in mind basically just sorting the betting strategy out.
