In the U.S., how frequently do horse's come back to race again
within 5 day's of the last race.....???

Not counting the Fairground meet's which only last 3 week's in
the summer.

Mike Nunamaker's 1994 study of 111,700 horses in 12,815 races showed 863 horses coming back within five days or less (0.77%). Of those, 99 won (11.47%), and 290 finished in the money (33.6%), with an impact value (per Nunamker's weighted method of IV calculation) of .97. Surprisingly, though, their $NET showed a 7% profit betting all such horses to win, meaning that the average $2.00 payoff on the 99 winners was over $18.60.

Thanks, Overlay and Tom, ...,.it is so great to be involved in a sport where people will take time out of their day to research and help another handicapper with their querie's......especially a sport where your alway's betting against your fellow handicapper for your own profit.....

I just don't remember seeing ANY that wasn't at a Fair....so about
1 out of every 120 race's ( or thereabout ) I better not blink when I'm
reading th PP's.....

Wait a minute....Tom...are you saying that from Mar 7 To Apr. 7 there where
3, 333 horse's I missed.....

Could it be they are non-existant then at the Major Track's HOL, AQU etc.

Altimers here I come !!!!
