There was a thoroughbred that raced here at Hastings in the 80's (then Exhibition Park) with the name Hoof Hearted. The track announcer at the time, Doug Reid, would not pronounce it that way...he would pronounce the first word more like "hauf", and the last word like "hear-ted"
