Anyone seen or heard about this 1925 racing system: "The Mysteries od Sound and Number" by an ostensible Sheikh Habeeb Ahmad; William Rider & Son, Ltd., pub. London ???

Thanks in advance for all replies-

I haven't heard of that one, but it sounds like it might be an ancestor of "Mozan's Racing Numerology". :)

I bought Mozan in 1984. I think I'm still trying to get thru my first card

at Penn National. The book is still in print and for sale and the sample race

is from what 1935? It takes about 25 years to do a race. I'd like to

see someone use Mozan on a Saturday afternoon of simulcasts !! :)

It must have worked at one time, those sheikhs seem to be doing pretty good nowadays.

I have Mozan's Racing Numerology! I got through about two pages and my head nearly exploded. I'm not a numbers person, so I can't figure out why I bought this book to begin with! :)

numbers for heavenly bodies aligning with a number hor the horse; In other words, early concept of biorythm IMO.

Turf & Sport Digest used to have a monthly feature called Mirza Mars. I believe it had to do with the relative positions of different planets. Opposition, conjunction, trine etc. I guess people actually believed that stuff.

Which is probably not good ! That must go back at least 35 years and
maybe more. That Column had winners for all the tracks all the time..

As found in the excerpt below, I think it's fairly clear that Mars owns Tuesdays and beginners will need a table :lol:

Hello Bigmack:

Let me ask you a question. Is Uranus, Neptune and Pluto included or are they left out. Say for instance these other planets are left out and on Tuesday the Sun rises at 6:00 in PHA, which means Mars governs as a whole for that day but in a sense the 1st hour. By the time, we get to post time at say 12:15PM in Pha Park and now we are in the 7th hour which is Jupiter. So the first 4 min would be Jupiter but by the time we get to 12:15 we get Venus. So what would Venus mean? Wager on the number 3 horse. I'm sorry but I just don't get this. Can you shed some light this? LOL

Best regards,
Joe

I just might order this thing for some light reading on a plane.

Appreciate all the input gentlemen-

For those interested, on google print, I found the above excerpts in
'The Mysteries of Sound and Number' book. Not sure if this is the same as 'Mozan's Racing Numerology' pub.

Agreed, very convoluted writing, perhaps due to translation from Parsi or Arabic. Anyway, fascinating possibilities, just wonder if it has any predictable winning merit?

Fore more, go to google print and enter the book name.

Nota Bene - that very wise men such as Plato wrote;
"...perhaps there is a pattern set up in the heavens for one who desires to see it, and having seen it, to find one in himself". (now how about finding a long shot?) :)

Let us know what you think.....
