I wonder who will ride Deadly Dealer assuming his 3rd place in the Arkansas will be enough to move forward to the Derby. I also assume Gomez would take Pletcher's mount over Assmussen's.

Good analogy John! Although I must admit even though Jara is a solid rider overall, his ride on Invasor in Florida will forever go down in my mind as the absolute worst ride of a stakes win that I have seen in my career...As for Gomez, another poster asked which horse he'll ride....Garrett knows where his bread is buttered-he's staying on AGS-Boomer

I want to know what happens if one of these horses gets injured or sick. This is a quite a group to choose from. Does he move anybody if one horse is out?

I didn't realize Deadly Dealer was canned after his disappointing finish.

Pletcher also has a horse in this weekend's graded race at Keeneland. If the mighty steed is victorious, you have to think Pletcher will be tempted by the Derby.
