I have a question for all you Simulcast Daily subscribers. I am trying to decide whether or not I want to subscribe to this service, and I am looking for some assistance in deciding. If anyone can persuade me either way I'd be very happy.

Thanks

Brian

Don't think it is worth it personally. It is convenient to have Beyer Pars available and charts if you are into trip 'capping and pace senarios. There are some good time killers on there like the horses to watch. I think you'd have to be on there quite a bit for it to be worth it. If you see yourself using it daily than it might be worth it.

I joined primarily to get Beyer pars for every track. That's all I used it for and saved the info for the tracks I wanted. My subscription has lapsed. My only big complaint is finding the link on the home page. It is under PPs & Data. (It took me 5 minutes to find it again but I am a little slow)

In addition to the valuable BSF pars, I enjoy having access to trainer patterns for every track.

The biggest use for me is racing office related. I use the long term access to charts to refer back to Allowance/Optional Claimers to help determine race condition eligibility of shippers (see if the win was for the price or the allowance conditions).

The content is very good. You have a better chance at keeping up with key races and identifying future horses to wager on. The bad part is that although it says weekly, sometimes they come every week and a half. Sometimes its almost 2 weeks then 2 show up at once. so you have a lot of makeup work to do.

You also get access to all charts for the last year. Plus, in the Winners Books, your get every race time and Beyer for all tracks. Handy to have.

He's referring to Simulcast Weekly, whereas bkeefe is asking about Simulcast Daily, an online product that was introduced to counter all of the issues you describe (which all have to do with the US Mail...)

I might be wrong, but I thought DRF.com had been updating charts throughout the racing day, much like BRIS does, only I couldn't find them today.

Am I imagining this???

we do it here:
http://www.drf.com/drfPDFCharts.do

But the charts are a mess today for the first time in, like, a couple years. Server issues tied to the new e-commerce launch. Everything should be back online in the next hour, but basically, I'm saying, charts would act as you want them to, any other day but today...
