Kind of a meaningless stat though as it is different coaches and different teams. An interesting anomaly would be a better term for it.

Also, defense does NOT win championships. Well rounded teams win championships. Defense is useless without scoring. I think the next time I hear the "pitching and defense" line in a baseball conversation I'm going to have to shove the Houston Astros down someones throat....

Having sweated through many a season of UCLA football when it was all one and not the other, defense becomes a rarity I take note of.
