Due to impending weather....methinks it's not going to be as bad as they say, but it will be a mess nonetheless....no simulcasting either....

It's a mess here. Roads closed everywhere due to flooding. Got to watch a transformer explode. That was fun.

Coworkers left on the train early this morning from Albany to NYC and they still are not there yet. The tracks are flooded.

Roads are a sheet of ice here.

My buddy "Binder" lost control of his van an hour ago and was doing 360's on the highway. Miracle he didnt get killed.

Not a scratch on the van as he didnt hit anyone nor did anyone hit him while he was out of control. Thank God.

Yep, sloppy icy snow outside today and should go on. Could they have run? Maybe, but it would be a real mess. Hopefully will be okay for tomorrow. Don't know if that's good or not. Just hit 2 big bombers there this season and nothing else. Guess in a way its been one of my best inner track years yet because I'm well ahead for the inner season, but it sure doesn't feel like it.

When you have doubts, Al, check your pockets. That's the verification point. :)

Yeah I know. I only bet maybe 2-3 times a month and probably put somewhere around $150-$250 down on Aqueduct each time. In December I nailed a $250 exacta 6 times and then a couple weeks ago hit an exacta x5 and tri once with a nice 13-1 coming in 2nd (also had him keyed in 1st on alt tickets) and that raked in about $750. At the amount and frequency I bet, those are nice hits, but there is still something depressing about the days I'm completely shut out at the Big A. I know I'm somewhere in the neighborhood of $1000 ahead since the beginning of the inner (I only keep track for calendar years, so am only slightly plus there in 2007). I guess its just in years past besides getting a couple nice scores on the season, it was also easy for me to grind out some small scores that kept the shutouts away. The inner has always been my best track, but it feels like I'm losing grasp on it. That's the depressing part I guess. That and I can't hit in Buddha's P4 contest for anything this year either.

I know it is good to hit with regularity, but when you're playing with "their" money it is a good thing. Keep your confidence, it'll come back to you. You've made some nice scores for your level of play (not saying anything positive or negative about your level, just that you're doing well).

Any word on tomorrow?

I guess it all depends on how the track holds up tonight....with all the freezing rain, sleet, snow, etc. I wouldn't be getting my hopes up too much....

I came down with a stomach flu Thursday afternoon and went to bed with it 58 degrees outside and sunny.
This morning, I finally get out of bed and look out to 2 feet of snow, blowing and drifting!

Talk about shock!
