I'm starting a new job 1 APR 07, but until then...

Bike Week was awesome.

Some of these bikes run up to $150,000! Wow...for a motorcycle? The place was electric. It's amazing to see so many people gathered together in one mind.

Even the Hell's Angels and Outlaws were cool as funk.

I ran into an upstart club called Adrenalin Crew. They are young and dangerous; mostly to themselves.

Here's a video:

It ain't all peaches and cream in the bike community this year. There is some real crazy shit going down. The Insurance industry has decided that they are not going to insure motorcycle events anymore. The costumers and the crotch rockets are ruining it for a lot of older people.

Press Release

Effective immediately the 2007 Heritage Motorcycle Rally (also know as Bike Week Charleston) in Charleston, South Carolina has been cancelled. This cancellation includes all concerts, bike shows, car show, the Million Dollar Bike Build-Off and all other events scheduled to be held at the Exchange Park Fairgrounds and/or Kicknhorse Saloon during what was called the Heritage Motorcycle Rally. This cancellation is for 2007 and all other years following.
All concert ticket holders will receive a refund on ticket purchases. Please request refunds from the place of purchase. All radio and television stations participating in promotions have been informed of the decision to cancel the Heritage and all its associated events. All area Hotels and selected national motorcycle magazines are being notified of the event cancellation to help prevent persons coming into Charleston from traveling here for this event. The websites have been changed to reflect the cancellation as well.
The Heritage staff has always presented this event as a safe, “Family Oriented” National Motorcycle Event. And with the combined efforts of most of the motorcycle organizations in the area that has been the case. All of Charleston was promised that in 2003 by the promoter Dave Harvey when this event started. Today he does not believe that he can provide a safe environment in the Charleston area for this event to be held. It is with great sorrow that this historic event had to be cancelled due to attitudes and behaviors of some persons throughout the motorcycle community.

Nothing is perfect outside of Jesus Christ...but my Bike Week experience was trouble-free and very positive.

The general public basically conceives a "Christian" to be a weak, insecure and down-on-his-luck person.

They envision us praying in the corner after singing (poorly) in the church choir.

I would love...to look the Devil himself...deep into his own eyes...and tell him to go fu*k himself.

A little over-the-top I admit.

But I think it was silly for Charleston to cancel bike week.

On a lighter note, I thought you might enjoy this:

The quality stinks but I shot it with a CVS one-time-use digital camcorder.

Well maybe not ONE-TIME-USE!

I could tell she wanted "no part" of my video so I moved on quickly.

The key to was to avoid confrontation, because a lot of barmaids at other clubs told me I couldn't shoot inside the club and I wanted to keep the camera rolling.

Make sure you check out Ralph's pet food recall post Richie.

Thanx Shac I just did.

My brother is heavily into the bike scene. Something I never really paid much attention to. He just opened a custom shop in Conneticut. He loves it.

I don't know what the one he has in his garage is but it is ridiculous.lol

this is his joint in Conn that shows a few of the ones he has. Some of them are kinda cool

Sheila is the name of the female lead singer for The Rhythm Method.

She gave me her business card and asked me to e-mail her the video. We converse almost daily through e-mail and I now consider her to be a friend.

My new job is taking me to Orlando, FL. I run a video production company on the side and I am going to make a music video for Sheila and THE RHYTHM METHOD. For free...because I know what it's like to be a struggling musician...you live hand-to-mouth and hope that the last check that you wrote clears the bank.

They are going to cover the Ohio Players' song..."Love Rollercoaster".

I'm going to Kings Island in Cincinnati, OH on monday to get some footage of rollercoasters; the red and blue racers along with The Beast and anything else they may have added since I was there over ten years ago.

When I get to Orlando...I will go to Disney and get footage of Space Mountain and other rides.

Suction mounts allow me to stick the camera to the front car without falling off...and it looks much better than just holding it.

Sheila and the gang will record their version of the song to CD. From there I will shoot them at many different locations; as they lip sync to their own recording. The point is to allow them to "have fun" with the track and not having them focus on playing the song.

I can't wait to get started.

On a personal level...let me say that I turned my life over to Jesus Christ about a month ago...and since then; I've landed a great new job, had some very good times...and met some really cool people.

And I have never felt as good as I do right now.

PA,

The reason I asked for your permission was because of liability issues. I am currently hashing out a deal with my attorney to turn my part-time video production company into a full-time venture.

I am applying for an LLC which means: Limited Liability Company. This gives me some protection in case the camera off my hood-mount falls off and causes a Biker to crash...or something like that.

Under an LLC, they can sue you...yes...but, they cannot take your home or car.

Again, limited liablity. This license is expensive, but well worth it in the long run.

I did not know if YouTube had a policy (or not) about posting website addresses and I didn't want to get you in trouble.
