In the 8th race at Bay Meadows today, top trainer, Jerry Hollendorfer, is the trainer for three different horses (not entries). He is the co-owner and trainer of #2, Brave Sun. He is also the trainer of #5 Candy's Bro and #6, Bwana Bull. Those horses have two different owners. Why isn't it considered a conflict of interest for a trainer to enter a horse that he owns, in the same race with two other horses that he trains for two different owners?
(Russell Baze is on #6, which, as you might expect, is the 8/5 M/L favorite.)
As an aside, I predict, with the utmost confidence, that, in this 7-horse field, a Hollendorfer-trained horse will finish in the money! I also predict the winning horse's name begins with the letter "B". :)
