He looks like a sprinter to me.

My joke post got deleted, but now I that I see this horse I kind of like him. Not only for FFC's own merit, but Prado is choosing to ride him, although I understand that once again he is desperately searching for a Derby horse.

Why doesn't anyone want Prado?

Because of last year?

No, I think people want him. I just see the Derby prospects he has ridden haven't panned out -- Lawrence the Roman, etc. I think he might wind up with Adore the Gold unless something better comes up.

not sure off the top of my head who will ride Scat Daddy if both SD and Circular Quay are entered in the Kentucky Derby. Right now Johnny V. has both mounts...

add Any Given Saturday to the Derby hopefuls that Velazquez is riding. Someone has to get those mounts if they all go...

It'll be interesting to see which he picks. Read something about current ideas by them, but such things at the moment subject to change.

Looks like Edgar has a mount now.

Wow, big Derby prep day and Edgar has just two mounts in 4 and up stakes at Oaklawn.

Re Prado's day at Oaklawn: Both horses he rode are serious contenders for the Breeder's Cup. In fact, one of them is a defending BC champion.

Re Flying First Class: I'm not enamored of the fact that Lukas is, of course, rushing the horse. Nevertheless,I thought he had a very uncomfortable trip in his last race, and expect him to give a much improved performance this coming Saturday.
