Agree 100%, especially with the characterization of the two situations for reliable profits. My personal strategy reflects that reality.

And I also agree with the importance of finding entry points.

It’s all a matter of taste. As a dabbler in clichés myself, I have to think the author was paid by the word. Cj’s articles got there a lot faster with more detail.

IMO the best thing about the article was that it made me appreciate Davidowitz even more for his ability to present concepts in simple terms without sounding as if he were writing a children’s book.

I can’t wait for “Hidden dangers in common trainers stats” though. Maybe the author could be persuaded to contribute to the discussion here on jockey stats. Meanwhile I’ll be sure to keep my back to the wall and face the doorway while I read the DRF race-of-week PPs tomorrow night. :lol:
