Local vet clinic reported a single case of herpes. I knew they had restricted local farms/training centers, but surprised they're not allowing shippers from Lrl/Mnr.

What a joke...got a match race in the 4th going three turns. Why wouldn't they just cancel the card?

159 flat for a mile and an eighth. Are you sure the track is fast?;)

In the very short time I've closely followed t'bred racing (less than a year) I've read of outbreaks in New Jersey, California, Florida, Maryland (I think) and, within just the past week, West Virginia and Hong Kong.

How typical, or atypical, have the past 6 months or so been regarding outbreaks of very serious equine diseases?

Thank you.

Hello All:

The scr's will continue through the weekend. The outbreak started in Leesburg Va. They put the ban on for anyone in Va. and then yesterday Md. and Pa. went on the list as well. If you ship in you are unable to leave. This ban more than likely will continue right through the month of Mar. The times have been very slow the past week because the track was thawing out. Supposely there is an ice storm on the way for late tonight and tomorrow. I would think racing will be cancelled Sunday. I believe there were 41 scr's last night. That might be a record.
