It is mostly the liberal media who openly question if America can vote for a non white male.
As far as names, America rarely votes in presidents with names that are niot short and English sounding. The German sounding Eisenhower is the most syllables and strangest sounding IMHO, and Kennedy was the only other president since Roosevelt with more than 2 syllables.
As far as middle east sounding names I like Nader better!

Of course, his original opponent (Jack Ryan) got himself blown up by his ex-wife (amazing!), and the Repub. Governor (George Ryan, no relation) had nearly killed the state party in the short term with the corrpution of his offices past and present. Even all the prior Republican Primary candadates didn't want the spot and get back into the race after having to sit out, and suffer these two guys fallout.

Yeah, Obama won the senate seat, but as we'd say in racing, it wasn't a 'truly run race'. It was like a match race where one rider stumbles badly and nearly falls off at the start. On the other hand, now that Obama is the the full fleged national media darling and the incumbent, if he wanted to seek another term in the Senate, he might be hard to defeat - just on that alone.

you miss the whole point.

Numbers 1 and 2 are social welfare programs. Pure and simple. Same ole song and dance

Number 3, which war? How about the war on Terror, Drugs, Iraq? I know he refers to Iraq most likely. But, who knows.

I am only for the war on terror. But sometimes the the three I listed are combined actions...........in the real world he needed to be more specific.

The bottom line is, same old song and dance. Next week he will be uttering the "for the children" phrases.
