Jack and Cell Phones

I'm watching 24 and have a question.

What cell phone provider are they using? I want theirs.

They go in bunders, parking garages, and underground offices and their cells phones work. I can't get mine to work ten feet into my office.

I use a company provided cell phone. I've had it for 7+ years. It has lots of problems dropping out of the network in places you would have thought reception was OK. That's beyond the known dead spots.

I finally caved in and got my own cell phone for personal use about 4 years ago. It turned out to use the newer GSM network standard. Solid as a rock everywhere I go in and around San Diego county. Even inside buildings and parking structures.
