If you pull them over to a hard surface like you are instructed to, often the ribs do break, particularly in the elderly.

A friend did CPR while still a medical student. He saved a ladies life yet the family wanted to sue him for breaking a rib. Luckily the good samaritan law prevailed.

I knew his head was separated from his body, but I thought that they were both still in that cryogenics lab. (However, perhaps that was his (or his heirs') intended form of "burial" for him.)
