This one did not break his maiden until his 18th start running for the Wheatly stable 6/22/35 in an allowance, not a maiden, 5 furlong affair at Naragansett in 1:00 3/5 as the favorite with J. Stout up. He was runnning for a $2500 tag in his SECOND start at Hialeah (running only 3/8ths) on January 22. He didn't even RUN in a maiden race until his 6th start, finishing 3rd (4 furlongs at Bowie). George Wolf did not ride him until his 31st start where he finished 10th of 10 in a 6 furlong handicap at Suffolk.

He ran 35 times with a record of 5-7-5 ($12,510) running at those courses as well as Pimlico, Aqueduct, Harve de Grace, Bowie, Empire City, Aem (whatever track that is!), Jamaica, Rockingham, Suffolk, and Saratoga.

It's surprising he stayed sound.

Not really. They weren't pumping horses full of steroids back then like they are today, along with God knows what else.....

"Aem (whatever track that is!)"

The archivist at Woodbine (a truly knowledgeable and unique fellow) reports that the Biscuit ran in the Springfield Handicap at AGAWAM, Massachusetts.

Never heard of that track before today!

Only thing close there today is a place called THE STABLES restaurant.

Zilly, that was a small tidy affair that only ran for 3 years.

FROM a friend at another site:Agawam had severe flooding in 1936 caused by a cyclone.

This short funny from the Dec 21, 1938 Harness Horse magazine:

Paragraphs of Eastern Singularities in 1938
By HOWARD N. WESTON
The following dialogue was overheard at the information window at one of the Grand Circuit meetings held in the East during the season just closed. Evidently, from her questions, she was an ardent follower of the
bangtails. The scene-lady briskly approaches-
Lady-"How long does this meeting last?"
Clerk-"Ten days lady."
Lady-"Which day do they go over the steeple chase course and how do they get those two wheeled wagons over the jumps?"
Clerk-"? ! * ' ? *"
This actually took place at Agawam.

I am reading 23.2 46 71.4 as the time
on the lead the entire trip one divides the segment 1320 feet by the time to get feet/sec

If all goes as planned, I hope to make that passion a career by next Fall. Things are in the works as we speak but I have to break through some nepotism to get there.
