Starting in NY, the best bet on the card is Odetta One in the fourth.
She's stretching out off of some okay sprints and although she's never been on the lead, the combination of the rail, quick run to the first turn, and not much signed on speed wise, could lead to her cutting it out.
Worst case scenario has her sitting a good inside trip if something outside decides to gun.
In the first, Princess Taormina comes of a long layoff for trainer who excels with vacations despite the 0 for 14 stat in the paper.
Tara Hemmings tags along for the ride and should be loose as a goose in a bad field.
In the 6th, Majestic Joy has raced deceptively well in both starts with tons of excuses.
Meets weakest field so far and should be pouncing early if as overloaded with run as I expect him to be.
Moving to Gulfstream. In the 3rd, Leisurely Lion makes first start off the Margolis trainer change and should have daylight entering the far turn.
Cheap bunch and dont' expect much to be coming aside from the Mott dropper who looms too short a price to guess on.
In the 8th, Blotto stretches out off of a suicidal pace duel off the brief freshening. Should control this from the getgo and appears to be able to loaf the first three quarters. Velazquez also has the option to try and bottom out the field. Both scenarios should work.
Finally at Santa Anita. IN the first, Film Editor was tons better in her last than it looks. She never was anywhere near the inside and was wrangled and loaded every step of the way. Gave ground reluctantly late and this is probably the best last place performance I've ever seen.
Gets the rail today and hoping Chavez just steps on the gas early and lets her roll.
To the last, a race loaded with early speed, taking a little shot with City Vow on the turn back.
Has shown speed in all three starts, the first two on the fake track and the last, dueled a very fast two turn mile on an extremely tiring track for that day.
Hoping this one has a rating gear and judging from the way he goes, he does.
Should launch from just off and will hopefully end the day with a bang.
Good luck.
