Is it just my imagination or did BRIS take Aqueduct action earlier in the

winter meet?

They, along with many other simulcast outlets were cut-off by the NYSRWB when the simulcast agreements expired on 2/1. It was a simple paperwork glitch, and they are working to get it straightened out.

There isn't anything more to the story than that.

The state of the racing "product" would be funny were it not so sad. The simple paperwork glitch, accurately stated, is maddening to any business model or presumption of logic. Horseracing has never answered to anyone but itself. The convergence of politics and embedded bureaucracy is difficult to witness, much less endure.

That said, pardon the cynicism or stating the obvious, neither is acceptable these days.

As always, anything associated with NYS is a total joke, corrupt, and the worsrt avaialable. NYS has real problems with things like reality, common sense, stuff like that.

In the business world, dipsticks who pull this crap are fired immediately - rightly so. In this case, look for promotions.
