Sunday, 1-21 was a treacherous day. Freezing drizzle for most of the day. Around Post Time, it begins to snow. The cars and roads were all glazed with ice. Management must have been quite proud that the jocks all rode. I did not want to drive home, don't know how they ran a card without any bad things happening Sunday.

Theoretically speaking, speed figures should account for the difference of fractions. I think part of it has to do with the track being somewhat deep and looser last night, and that is why the fractions were so slow. You forgot to mention that 152 was a mile race, and they came home slower than trotters :eek:
