Propane gas storage

Now that its finally getting cold here I was wondering what's the best way to store propane gas from the barbeque in the winter? Cover and leave outside?

it does get stored outside, ive never seen any device to keep away the cold, but only the heat.

just keep it away from anything, check gauge.
