Today had to be a special day at Gulfstream Park, the first 6 winners paid $61.20, $40.40, $25.00. $95.60, $25.60, $28.60. Had to be the strong east wind brought in the salt air. Well done Tom.

Thanks guys. It was a very special day for me as I have been at GP during the winters since I was a boy of 16. It was a very special win as this guy hadnt won in over 2 years.I have won races at a lot of tracks but this was my first at GP.

Few people actually know the sacrifices good trainers give to their stock. It is a tough, thankless and difficult job balancing the whims of the owners with the reality of the horse's actual potential. Having been around the back side, my hat is off to anyone who can make a go of it there..But I understand how it is intoxicating at the same time.
