I looked over the HorseStreet example sheet on the DRF site and really didn't know what to make of it. It is of course, very short and there is no legend to guide you so it was to be expected ... or perhaps I ate too much over Christmas.

Is there really any advantage or surprise in knowing that a 2x race at Belmont is good for a 95 Beyer or whatever? Aren't pars somewhat skewed by super horses and low prices? A Formmal Gold running 112 as a 2yo, or some MSW blowing away a weak field at 2/5?

I want to know what the "pre-race" par might be in a specific odds range. Should a horse have run an 80 in a MSW or is 75 good enough at Aqueduct to consider them playable at say, 5/1 -> 10/1. This probably falls in the "What-have-you-done-for-me-lately" file, but if you want my hard earned dollars...:D

The track-to-track info is probably worth the cost of the book alone.

Is one well-known company really better than another? At least Dave wrote a real nice forward for the book. :)

LOL - And Dave is just an all-around nice guy who has two freshmen in college.
