So how is this former RSI person going to insure this is not going to be another criminal outfit like RSI?
Kind of flys in the face of the new NTRA CEO saying wagering integrity will be inportant- or as this article states, are high rollers who previously bet illegally still the most wanted?

Even his name looks a little alias. And to think, this was the place that had that pregnant sheriff running around

Because Mike Cichy was the guy that TURNED RSI INTO THE FEDS. His testimony put Susan Bala in prison. Google it if you like. He was the FBI's star witness. Do you really think he would have been licensed by the ND Racing commission otherwise?

The next question is what will their rebate be? We already know IRG pummels Pinnacle with their rebate. I'm guessing it will be in that 8 to 15% area as well.

Here's the link to the RSI article I referred to.

That's true, but all of the off-shore pari-mutuel's have $15k weekly minimums.

Is this just for within the state?

Is this just for within the state?

No. This will be a national account wagering business. We will accept customers in all states where phone and / or internet wagering is not expressly prohibited by state law.

I think the pregnant sheriff was from Brainerd, Minn (Marge Gunderson)..

In the movie itself? I thought she was the sheriff of Fargo.

Nope. The only scene in the movie in Fargo is at the beginning where the William Macy character meets Steve Buscemi and his friend in a bar to give him the Sierra. Classic movie.

I am very glad I've got a partner that lives in ND to manage the site. It's beautiful out there, and Midwesterners are great people, but I don't think my wife and I are hardy enough to stand a real winter anymore.

I spent a year there one day in February '95. Flatter than a pancake and a very unfriendly wind.

Always got a kick out the name for the Native American mechanic that Jerry Lundegaard worked through: Shep Proudfoot

I don't know where the Coens' came up with Shep Proudfoot, but a lot of the names of characters in their movies are from real people. I bet there is a story with that name.
