Has anyone used this? I just tried the Trial version and opened the results up in Excel, but only 3 races because that is all the Trial version allows.

Thanks for post... I just read some very nice testimonials on company's web site.

I will download soon and report back my results. Also, I will inquire with corporate IT guys where I work tomorrow.

The converter (http://www.investintech.com/prod_downloadsa2e.htm) you linked to is better than any other converter I have ever seen/used. About a year ago I was looking and converters that couldn't bring this piece of software a drink of water were going for $800+.
I tested it on Equibases Chart file (the 2006 BC). I assume the goal is to create a consumable text file.
It's good but there are still problems:
Superscripts are tuff to convert. There would still have to be a lot of lexical analysis. For instance, the calls for the leader might read like this after conversion: 3, 51/2, 3Neck, 111/2
You would have to jump through a lot of hoops to parse this type of thing.

The biggest problem will be when whoever is supplying the pdf decides to secure it from such manipulation.
All in all I was impressed by the program. The user interface can't be beat.
