Scuttlebut has it that Mike Pizzola will eventually merge Master Handicapper with the upgraded Magician(containing the new Value technology).
Anyone heard anything about this? It would be a brilliant move and a logical fit.
All the best,

Jaguar,
When I spoke with him last week, Michael said maybe in the Spring of 2003. It really will depend on his and Eric's schedule and how much demand they think there is. Some users of The Master Magician have been clamoring for a track-to-track adjustment function like TMH has and I've been nagging at them to include the betting record function...it was nice being able to just punch in my wagers and have all the race data already entered.
I'll be heading out to Vegas tomorrow morning and arriving back in Reno sometime Monday. I'll see what information I can get out of them and post it when I get back.

Look at the thread "Handicapping Magic Hype", page 3 for my unbiased opinion of Michael's seminars.
I have been to 3 of them.

This weekend will be my third seminar with Michael and I have truly enjoyed the prior ones. I had the Master Handicapper when it first came out. And I own Handicapping Magic and Master Magician. I also look forward to meeting Kappa and Bob Harris. See y'all there!

I read your comments on Michael's seminars, and, I am anxiously awaiting Friday! I've read his book (one of the few handicapping books I actually completed) and listened to a set of his tapes, and was very impressed with the energy level. He talks about things I 'knew' at some level (like looking for value) but never really stuck to. It should be an experience.
By the way,I'm the only person in America who can make Pat Day lose on a 6/5 favorite. How?? By betting a hundred to win on him!!

Thank you! It will be nice to put faces to the names...with you and Kitts going, I think there will be 4 or 5 from this board going. Response has been good so far...should be 170+ attending.
See you all tomorrow!
Bob
When Michael turns around to write on the chalkboard or white board, check his tie when he turns back around. Do this several times.
See if you see why. HeHehe!
Also, whatever you do, don't ask him about the rats and the cheese! I warned you.....~G~

Is there anything further on an update or merger of TMH and Master Magician? It would be cheaper to use. That alone would make it worthwhile.

Shane,
Eric told me they planned on a 1st or 2nd quarter release in 2003. The plan is to start involving some database capabilities with the program...the project has become a little larger than just rewriting the DOS code. As I see or hear more about it, I'll post what I know to the board.
