My wife & I just saw Casino Royale & it was great. Be prepared to keep your coat over your lap because well, errr, the women are cast perfectly. Lucky for
me the hot villianess is named Solange, which just happens to be my wife's name. Anyways, if you go to see it you won't be unhappy.

The early hype claims that this may be the best Bond film ever, but will just have to wait a few weeks until the early crowds go down and then take a look.Still am of the opinion that Connery has been the best Bond ever.Btw,the film has a PG-13 rating, not an R,so it cant be all that sexy.Still, there never has been a Bond Movie without gorgeous women,so will enjoy the view while watching this flick.

What's the big deal about Bond being blond? Wasn't Roger Moore a blond.
BTW, Casino Royale is the very first Bond Book that Ian Fleming wrote.

Roger Moore sucked, too.
Sean Connery is James Bond.

Timothy Dalton was almost passable, but the rest......:ThmbDown::ThmbDown:

The reviews I've seen so far say its as good a movie as the under rated and rarely seen "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" which despite being the lone George Lazanby Bond IMO is the best scripted and acted of the lot. Aside from that its looks like a wall to wall action flick as well. Even bad Bond is usually better than 90% of whatever else is out there anyway, so really looking forward to it.

Yeah, I 'll go see it, Bond or Blond is heads above most of the crap out there nowadays.

Saw it the other day, not sure why the reviews are so great. Three things I liked: A pretty spectacular chase scene early in the movie, the on-location sites all around the nicest parts of Europe and the Bahamas (really makes one wish he had a few hundred mil stashed away), and the first bad guys girl.

I thought overall the plot was pretty muddled, and the character of Bond was a little uneven. There was some very wierd almost laughable stuff, like the torture scene. Don;t want to spoil it, but it's a good "WTF were they thinking?"

I would call it a solid DVD rental, or maybe catch the bargian matinee. Doesn't really warrant anything beyond that.

I give it 2 jumpy guys out of 5 :jump: :jump:

"The Prestige" was pretty decent, don't know if that's still playing where you are, but its a better movie. I give it 3 jumpy guys :jump: :jump: :jump:

What do we use for BAD ratings? I was going to suggest the using the avatars of certain asshats here but your way is more PC.

Daniel Craig wants a gay love scene in the next Bond movie. And he's willing to do full frontal nudity for it.

Daniel Craig is urging movie bosses to revolutionise the James Bond franchise by including a gay scene involving the superspy in the follow-up to Casino Royale.

Personally, I thought Casino Royale was an excellent action movie.

However, since they have chosen to change the style away from... what we have known... I have to say that it is a poor replacement.

Kind of like if they remade Star Wars as a serious science fiction movie. You go to see Star Wars expecting to see great special effects and a good time without gruesome horror.

I like my Bond as an English-sounding gentleman, laced with pithy little comments, accenting the effortlessness he applies to manhandling his enamies, while his over-exagerrated ego/libido is exercised. Shaken and not stirred, please, with a garnish of beautiful women of different nationalities, all with strange names.

And, for the record, there is only one real Bond and that would be Connery, Sean Connery.

When it was first announced that Connery was to play Bond, Connery was supposed to have said, "That's how I always pictured him."

Didn't Broccoli want Roger Moore as fisrt chiice, but he was tied up on the Saint so he "settled" for Connery?
