When a guy is 87 or so, like Jack Palance, and the papers say 'he died of
natural causes' I wonder what that means. Is it that his heart gave out?

From Wikipedia:

"In medicine, natural causes is a loosely-defined term describing death which occurs due to an illness, disorder, or other problem not caused by accident, homicide, or suicide. The term is commonly used by coroners when the cause of death is not apparent given medical history or circumstances."

He was a great actor, the only one that I know of that could put you on the edge of your seat without holding a chain saw. One of a kind, I've missed him right along and many others of his time.

Jack Palance was one bad dude. I want to know how many guys in their 70's can do those one armed push-ups?

Damn shame most people know him as "Curly" only.........he was damn good at using his voice as an acting tool..........I think that Clint Eastwood came up with the dirty Harry Character from imitating Palance..............The good one's are going away slowly but surely.

I saw another good one on TV a couple of weeks back. Eli Wallach. Old as heck, but still has the chops...........

List of films about 2/3 down (Wiki). (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Palance)

Those not familiar with "Shane" might want to catch it.

I certainly hope they pay homage to him at the Academy Awards and not just read his name off as a part of a list.
