Despite the fact that many here abhor MS, have any of you upgraded & if so, any comments?

I did..less than an hour later I did a system restore to dump it.
There was such a glare to the screen that I couldn't read anything.
I tried several things to correct it ..Failed!

Dave,
What do you mean by buttons? I added some to the tool tray (mail and I think one other) with no problem. I like the new program. I really can't see how a program could make the screen glare, but it seems rock solid and I know it corrects many problems and security issues.
Overall, I've been very pleased with Microsoft's products. Not just because I use them to make a living but also I've found that they all function very well.

Poltergeist. Spielberg.. I swear I could not read the page. I had to do a system restore to fix the problem. Glare I have never had this problem before.

Dick,
There is a function called "install new buttons."

IE7 still crashed when returning to an earlier page after downloading an Acrobat file. It did this in IE6 as well. Firefox 2 works fine with Acrobat.

If you only want to read PDF files and don't need all of the baggage that comes with Adobe, I recommend this program - http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php
I think michiken tipped us to this one in another thread. I've been using it without any problems ever since.

Same here for different reasons.Felt like I was using dial-up again.
A suggestion for those using it that have their own personal icons for shortcuts and such.If you keep losing the icon, right click on icon/properties/general/attributes and place a check on read only, should fix problem of losing personal icon's on desktop.

Thanks for all replies. I tried it & found nothing wrong with it but it was different enough I didn't want to spend the time either to make it look like IE6, or to learn it - so I went back. Will try again when I can spend the time.
