View Full Version : Winamp Media Player vs Windows Media Player

I just found out recently by experience, that the Winamp Media Player will play live horse racing videos. Previously, I was stuck using the Windows Media Player in this scenario.

I prefer using Winamp now for playing audio files, listening to radio stations, and watching live racing videos, plus other kinds of videos. Goodbye Windows Media Player...I don't think I'll be using you too much anymore.

Media Player 11 is out. You're still better off with WinAmp

I like VLC Video Player, which is free and plays ANYTHING. I can also record living streaming video, like racing.

Winamp is a fine player. Most recent version is 5.3.1

"....Real Player is everyone's villian....."Yes of course. The above links are for greatly watered down versions of the respective players. They are true alternatives to QuickTime and Real Player -- without the phone home spyware.

VCL player will not play Real Player codec. Ergo, the need for a RealPlayer alternative without all the bloatware.
