The fall meet ended at Keeneland on Saturday, but that didn't stop the action as eight Breeders' Cup hopefuls turned in works there.
Ex-French filly Gorella worked five furlongs over the Polytrack in 58 seconds. She is cross-entered in the B.C. Mile and the Filly and Mare Turf.
Trainer Kiaran McLaughlin beat the bad weather in New York to get workouts in for two of his big Breeders' Cup guns at Belmont.
Classic hopeful Invasor breezed six furlongs in 1:143/5, and one of the Sprint favorites -- Henny Hughes -- worked four furlongs in :503/5.
Eleven European-based horses arrived for the Cup. They were all taken to Churchill's quarantine barn.
Santa Anita Derby winner and Classic hopeful Brother Derek worked five furlongs at Santa Anita in 591/5 seconds.
Trainer Shug McGaughey's Distaff hopeful Pine Island ran five furlongs in 1:011/5 at Belmont.
