More amazing things from Google & the Internet. At your fingertips, access to virtually every university database in the world. . I wish I could live another 100 years to see how man develops.

Years lived + Information learned + Knowledge/Experience = Growth

That equation has been blown out of the water in the last decade and is only getting better.

You can search across many disciplines and sources: peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, abstracts and articles, from academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories, universities and other scholarly organizations. Google Scholar helps you identify the most relevant research across the world of scholarly research.

don't give up Mike. Some of the stuff that is being worked on with artificial organs or transplants............just might give you another fifty years.

Mike,

If you haven't already read Future Shock (http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9780553277371&itm=1) pick up a copy to see what the Toffler's had to say about change some 3 decades ago.

Great book on TOO rapid a change by society being a factor in not being able to adapt. Good then, good now

As a kid I would have my ma drop me off at the Chicago library and I would camp out 8-10 hours a day digging into music and every subject of interest to me under the sun. With the internet the source of material became unbearable to keep up with. Now, with Google coming out with a scholar search, I am bordering on going completely insane.

I used to do the same thing. Now it has morphed into nights on the net where I look over at the window and the sun is coming up, and I just finished reading about the latest in Nuke Power or some other stuff.

Ahhh...well I guess that is usually what I'm looking for. I've had better luck on citeseer than Google so far for that kind of stuff.

So I guess I can look up sociology, film theory, & other goodies on Google. Good to know...

In 100 years we will all go the way of the dinosaurs. Haven’t you googled the greenhouse effect? Also, many interesting computer models on Sars and the Avian {bird} flu.

Although, the most probable effect in 100 years – most of Europe will be speaking Arabic.

Suff – the tone of your post almost seems optimistic.
Say it aint so! You are not a closet conservative are you????
