Something I dont understand..When the meet opens,Are the purses going to be larger OR do the purses go up during the meet as the slots spit dollars for Frank?..Geeze Tampa had larger purses then GP last winter.

For what races did Tampa have higher purses than GP, claiming 4,000 nw 2 since 1999. Allowance nw1 races are 38k vs 19k at Tampa & Calder.

Some tracks have gioven purse increases retroactively based on slots income.

"In July, Magna and Florida horsemen reached an agreement that allocated 7.5% of net wins from the first 500 machines to purses. When 1,500 machines are installed, 6.75% of revenue less than $200-million and 12.6% of revenue greater than $200-million will be funneled into purses."
