The 13 benefits the 4 by my math. And the 4 should run well today, and at 5-1 I think its a fair price. 42 dollar double to the 4 in the 2nd. 25 makes me 500 ( which I could use) 5 dollar saver 4 to the 2 who I like at a number in race two.

I don't (rarely) box. Especially with a 3-1 horse (or less )

Sure it was a $25.00 winner, and a $128.00 exacta... But I don't have a penny on it.

I played 5 with the 4. That's the way I liked them...That's the way I bet them.

I am glad that I finally saw a race right however, so I'll take a small poke at the 5th to see if I hit a stride.

Generally what I'll do,.....is play a race the way I like it. Then cut it in half or more the other way...


20 exacta 5 with 4, and 5 dollar exacta 4 with 5...That type of thing.

Say I look at the board and a 3 with 2 is paying $58.00. I play 20 dollar zacta and it runs 2 and 3. If somone asked me(and they have) "why did'nt you box them"?

I did'nt want 58 dollars 5 times, I wanted 58 dollars ten times...and I did'nt want to risk 40 dollars to get it... but I was willing to risk 20. That's why.

But your right.... bad move there. Those were nice prices.

Both of the them, the 11 at 27-1 and the 10 at 45-1 will run. I prefer the 11.

Suff -- I certainly don't a;ways box equally either, often I'll play the same way you do. For example $ 20 4/5 and $5 or $10 5/4. Kinda depends how I see the race.

I used to bet the x's one way and then bet the quinella until they stopped offering the Q's. I hated to throw away a ticket back then and still do.

I mean....The horse got beat fair and square. No Crying. The issue is....You just don't get $70.00 horses to run like that. You can get $10.00 horses to run like that for you allll day long... even $25.00 horses....

But when you get a 36-1 that breaks off a length and half inside the 1/16th pole and is full of run.... you hate to see the cavalry charge take him down inside of 50 yards...

My Toes curled under my feet when he switched leads and went on with it.... but it was not to be... and I'm over and out.
