I have a friend who said these guys have frozen all the money in US players accounts.

Just a warning

I think that they're affiliated with SportingBet, an Australian listed company that no longer does business with US citizens.

Amazingly, many of these off-shore books have a clause in the agreement that says if taking wagers from you is determined to be illegal, they get to keep all your money.

That is wrong on so many levels. I wish everyone luck in getting their money back from the sports books.

Do you know if Pinnacle has that?

Don't know. I do know that if or when IBETX becomes legal in the U.S. I will tell everyone, everywhere, everyday that they refused to send me MY money when I requesed it.

Sorry, but I have no such source to present. I have not looked at one in a long time. If you search for old PA threads (maybe 2 years ago) on off-shore books you may find one that someone posted (maybe me?).

I just recall that the trend a couple of years ago was that they read something like...

"If you are doing anything deemed to be illegal, you forfeit all of your money."

Since everyone wagering with an off-shore sports-casino might be considered at some point to be doing something illegal, it was a little scary to me.

Don't know why you've had trouble with Ibetx. They informed all U.S. customers that their accounts would be suspended on August 31. They returned all my money on Sept. 1 without any problems. Here is some info:

You think that's funny... check out this follow up email I got today...

"Dear Sir,

Thank you for your email.

I will make sure that a replacement cheque is sent out to you as soon as
possible.

Please do not hesitate to contact me, if you require any further assistance.

Kind regards,

Sham"

Sham? Nyra? Maybe they have a sense of humor. :D
Well, at least they're trying and I give them a lot of credit for that. Makes me feel better about their organization. Still, they have dragged their feet a little too long for my liking. Better late than never.

While Nyra like Sham can be legit names, the definition of SHAM is:Something false or empty that is purported to be genuine; a spurious imitation. The quality of deceitfulness; empty pretense. Makes you wonder!

It is now November 25th, 2006 and ibetx has still not sent me MY money that is still on deposit in MY account.

There is absolutely no reason I should have not received the money from my account by now.

If anyone from ibetx is reading this, "WHAT IS GOING ON?"

I think I'll post this message (along with the emails they sent me stating how they would return my funds) on the Betfair, Racing Post, Sporting Life and any other racing message boards I can find.

I can't emphasize enough how sleazy, amateur and fly by night they are making themselves look.
