Let's start things off with Weird News:

Sometime next year, if all goes well, Brett Holm of Chaska, Minn., will begin selling his Season Shot, an improvement over current shotgun shells because its pellets dissolve on contact in the game meat and, more important, automatically flavor it for cooking. Holm told the Chanhassen (Minn.) Villager newspaper in August that he will initially offer lemon pepper, mesquite, Mexican, and Creole flavors, but, he said, chemists are at work right now to expand the selection.

Michelle Wie (http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/players/profile?playerId=1187), playing her first tournament as a 17-year-old, returned to the site of her professional debut last year and finished 17th at 293, 21 strokes behind Ochoa. Last year Wie finished fourth at the Samsung, then was disqualified for signing an incorrect scorecard.

Wie, who has now failed to break par in her last eight LPGA rounds, got a lesson on Sunday from 46-year-old Juli Inkster, who has a daughter Michelle's age. Inkster posted a closing-round 65 to finish tied for sixth at 283 with Kerr. Wie, meanwhile, closed with a 75, 10 strokes behind her playing partner. "I felt like I was very close to playing really well this week," Wie said. "It is so thin from playing the best to playing like this."
