Kenverter 0.1 - Bris Single to Multi Splitter

I am releasing a beta version of Kenverter which is intended to split a bris single data file into the multi format (i.e it will split a .drf format into .drf, .dr2, .dr3 and .dr4):

a. I am not a programmer and I am sure this beta release will have bugs!

b. There are some differences between the data file structures of the multi (http://brisnet.com/cgi-bin/static.cgi?page=drfmff) and single (http://brisnet.com/cgi-bin/static.cgi?page=drfsff) formats where I had to make a few assumptions about how to join some fields. This was done to preserve the database structure.

c. Kenverter is released under the GNU Software public license (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html#SEC1). This software is a PHP script. You will have to download and install the PHP Scripting language as noted in the README.TXT File.

d. The files generated are csv - comma separated values.

e. I have beta tested Kenverter on Linux and was able to import the newly created files into a spreadsheet. I have not tested it with Bris programs or on DOS/Windoz.

f. I would appreciate your comments on how it works so I can revise as required. The files are attached in zip format. Please post all comments or screen caps in this thread and not in PM.

Thanks for the offer.

I am pretty sure that most of the bugs will not be with php, it will be getting all the millions of commas/fields rewritten back to the new files in correct position.

Here is an updated version that fixes a bug in the path/folders that the drf multi files are written to. The previous version created too many sub folders.

Users can download and unzip this and overwriting the previous versions...

I use the multi's and I don't see anything new, and bris is advertising a polytrack race record for horses. Have they put anything new in the single file?

If you click on the single and multi links above, there is a change log for each of the file structures.

It doesn't work with the old version of the master handicapper, the one that takes the dongel however the download multi file does so there has to be small some difference. anyone else?
